Time- Part 3

Winding down without scrolling.

By: Mary B.

Bedtime. Time for bed? Nah. Time to scroll! Tonight’s practice of slowing down involves using my time intentionally. By circling back to the priorities that I dreamt up for myself from Part 1, I can spend more of my downtime doing things that uplift some part of my spirit. So instead of scrolling, I’m stretching. And the movements I’m choosing are via @Inflexibleyogis on Instagram (shared by one of K&M’s fave yogis, Chelsea @lovelightflow_

Five yoga poses to relax your body:

All are starting from lying flat on your back on your carpet or mat.

  1. Reclined butterfly: bring the soles of your feet together. Let the knees open to the sides.

  2. Knees to chest: rock side to side for a spine massage

  3. Reclined twist: drop your right knee to the left. Keep the shoulders grounded. Repeat for both sides.

  4. Windshield wipers twist: open your feet as wide as the mat. Drop both knees to the same side with feet on the ground. Rotate knees to the opposite side. Keep the shoulders grounded.

  5. Reclined shoelace: Cross one knee over another. Repeat for both sides. Wrap your hands around your ankles and stretch the foot of your crossed over leg down towards your shoulder.
